Processing & Shipping

Orders take 1 - 7 days to process, excluding weekends and major holidays.

All orders are packed with the utmost care, and I use recycled and reused shipping materials as often as possible to help reduce my impact on the environment. Even the adorable little jewelry boxes I use for my pendants are made from 100% recycled material!

Domestic United States Shipping

All domestic US orders are shipped via USPS First Class and will be delivered in 2 - 5 business days.

International Shipping

International orders are ONLY shipped via Priority Airmail, and will generally arrive in 6-10 business days.  Unfortunately, due to issues with the postal delivery system, I am unable to offer 1st class delivery outside the US anymore.  Once a package leaves my hands I can no longer control the delivery of the package, and Priority Mail International offers the best protection both for me as a seller and for you as a customer.

Customs and taxes which may be incurred when importing orders are the buyer's responsibility and may be charged to you by the post office upon delivery. Please allow for more time in transit for international and Canadian deliveries.

Refunds and Exchanges

I hope that you will be pleased with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, please contact me within 7 business days of receiving your order. I will do my best to resolve the problem quickly. Refunds and exchanges are taken on a case-by-case basis. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

Art Related Questions

How do you create your art?

I create my paintings in Photoshop using a pressure-sensitive graphics tablet.  The tablet has a "pen" that you use instead of a mouse. For those not familiar with digital painting, my process is similar to painting with oil or acrylic in that I create my paintings from scratch, stroke by stroke, using the brush tool.

Although my painting process has changed and loosened up a lot over the past few years, you can check out these tutorials I wrote a few years ago to get the general idea of how I work.

What programs/tools do you use?

I use Adobe Photoshop CS (adobe.com) and a Wacom Intuos 2 9x12 tablet (wacom.com).

How long does it take you to finish a painting?

If I am working for a client I keep within their deadline, usually 2 - 4 weeks.  For personal projects it can take as little as a week, or as long as a month (or more!). It really depends on the size of the painting, detail involved, and time I have available for painting. My attention span is very short and I lose interest easily. So with personal work it can take months or even more than a year for me to get around to finishing a painting if I don't keep at it.

It took me about a week to finish Sunset, which is 12x18 inches, and relatively simple as far as detail goes. And Luna Moth took about a year, painting on and off. That painting is larger, 16x24 inches, and has a lot of detail. I don't often keep track of hours, so it's hard to say how long it actually took to paint without breaks.

Did you go to school for art?

I took some art classes in high school and majored in art in college.  I've taken a wide variety of classes from basic drawing to pottery.  My favorite class was photography, and developing my own black and white photos.  I had some great teachers that really encouraged me in my "journey", and it was a good learning experience.  In 2004 I came across digital art and taught myself how to paint digitally.

Do you take commissions?

Yes! Please see my commissions page for more info.

Are any of your images available for licensing?

It depends on what the products and terms are.  Please feel free to contact me and we can discuss licensing options and terms. I reserve the right to accept or decline any licensing request at my sole discretion.

What is your Image Use Policy?

My full Image Use Policy can be found here. You must read the entire Policy first if you would like to use my artwork for any reason.
